Mila's Winning Tie-Breaker Designs

Jay's Losing Tie-Breaker Designs

Last time on Project Runway, Mila and Jay faced off on the runway one last time for the final spot at Bryant Park. They each showed three designs to the judges. One designer was sent home, and one was sent straight to Fashion Week! Read on to discover the highs and lows of this week's show.

LOL Moments:

Seth Aaron locked Jay in the hotel room closet.

Tim guessed "fallopian tube" during a game of Pictionary at Seth Aaron's home.

Tim couldn't make it work on Seth Aaron's family trampoline. His knees just kept buckling!

"When Tim says 'student work,' I want to vomit," said Jay.

"It's cuckoo Chanel, girl," Jay informed Tim.

"I'm really not such a bad guy," Mila tried to convince Jay.

Too Good Tim Gunn Quotes:
"Just little old me."

"I'm marveling at the sheer volume," Tim said in regards to Seth Aaron's massive amount of already made designs.

"Jay, you take these steps so spryly."

Most Shocking Moments:
"I would expect most of this to go away," Tim said in regards to Seth Aaron's basically finished collection.

Favorite Look:
I was on Jay's side the entire episode. I'm not sure why the judges left me out in the cold. His use of color was very modern and those really cool shinguard accessories were so fresh!

Lessons Learned:
A "fashion kiss" is an awkward kiss on both cheeks. Mila wasn't aware of this until Tim gave her a little on the job training.

"Ungapatchka" is a Yiddish word meaning ridiculously overdecorated or ornate.

Lingering Questions:
Where did this week's models come from? Why didn't they bring back any recently eliminated girls to walk?

Why, why, whyyyy, judges, did you let Jay go? Is anyone else feeling this way? Mila should have taken her black-and-white retro designs packing!

Catch all the designs from this season of Project Runway!

  • Oh gosh, I was dying over Tim on the trampoline. I kept rewinding it so I could see it again. I love Jay and I find Mila's designs rather dull, but I wasn't in love with the designs showed.... Ah well, I'm sure we haven't seen the last of Jay. Report Spam Posted by triplyksis at 5:49 PM on 04/16/10

  • Well the question about the models: In my opinion they just brought in four random girls to do the "showdown between Mila and Jay" runway thing because it's a one time thing. For Bryant Park they hire random models (besides their one "Muse" model from the show) every season. As far as Mila and Jay go, I didn't really have a preference between them. :/Seth Aaron has been my favorite from the beginning (as well as Mya, can't believe she quit!) and I'm rooting for him to win! Emilio drives me crazy because he's so arrogant, but it's almost hilarious because he doesn't realize how conceited he acts. Report Spam Posted by bellitude at 6:05 PM on 04/16/10

  • I wasn't really shocked about their decision to let Jay go, but that's because they always leave the "newbies" out in the cold. I guess Mila is a little more experienced, even though she bores the h-e-double-hockey-sticks out of me. Bleh! We'll see..... fingers crossed for Seth Aaron! :-) Report Spam Posted by vntgbabe at 9:48 PM on 04/17/10

  • Although I hated Mila (and her designs) throughout the whole competition, I have to agree with the judges. Jay's collection was modern, but it wasn't at all cohesive and to me it was really off for some reason (maybe it was the fabric choices)...Mila's collection was actually very nice to me- I just hope she adds color. But either way, I'm rooting for Seth Aaron! Haha Report Spam Posted by crayola09 at 3:39 PM on 04/18/10

  • I cant stand Mila. This is going to sound really prejudice, but shes too old for Project Runway! As much as I love to hate her.. she is really good at makign clothes. I wasnt really in love with her of Jays stuff so I didnt really care who got in. I'm team Seth Aaron(: Report Spam Posted by sarahdipityyy at 3:43 PM on 04/18/10

  • I liked Jay's stuff better than Mila's, but I wasn't really wowed either way. I think Jay's concept had alot of potential. Mila's concept = Shadows = More black & white. Whatever. . .she's done. I am definitely a Seth Aaron gal. I think that half of Emilio's trash-talk is to convince himself that he's OK. He knows he barely made it thru some of those challenges. I'd like to get a better look at some of the things that we caught a glimpse of in SA's collection (that might get eliminated). @stellastylista - Thank You for your proper usage of 'penultimate'. It made me happy. Report Spam Posted by miss_daphne at 1:21 AM on 04/19/10

  • i loved tim gunn jumping on the trampoline!! and him saying "just little old me" later..love him. as far as mila and jay i was completely leaning towards one or the other this episode because i did actually like both but i agree with @crayola09 that something was off with jays fabric choices..and therefore i wasnt in love with his 3 pieces shown. i think mila could really do a better job if she incorporated a color or two into the collection..and who knows, maybe she will. ;] (please?) but as everyone is saying..im totally rooting for seth aaron who completely deserves this. and @sarah08pig, im not sure milas age has anything to do with it because seth aaron is also older..(40's) so i dont think thats a huge factor. :] Report Spam Posted by cupcakexo at 4:21 PM on 04/19/10
