Yay or Nay on Rooney Mara's Red Carpet Style?

Rooney Mara's role in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo was dark and aggressive, which seems to have seeped into her real-life wardrobe as well. Let's take a look at some of the Oscar nominee's recent looks—and be sure to let us know what you think in the comments!

Rooney wore Givenchy for the London premiere of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. We love the white on her as well as the open back, but we wish the cutout didn't extend so far around the waist.

After appearing on The Late Show with David Letterman, Mara stepped out in Christian Louboutin shoes and a gorgeous black coat.

For the CFDA Vogue Fashion Fund Awards, Mara went for a more delicate look than she's been sporting lately. But, she still went for a dark lipstick with her Calvin Klein dress.

For the NY premiere of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo Mara wore a black Prabal Gurung dress with cutout panels at the thighs, waist, and shoulders.

Mara wore a Carven coat to run out for lunch in New York City. We love the retro '60s vibe of the coat, though we're less thrilled with the generic looking pumps.
