In X1 there was the attempt by Magneto (played superbly by Ian McKellan) to convert humans to mutants. In X2 it was a plot by a corrupt Fed to kill all the mutants using Xavier (Patrick Stewart). In X3 a "cure" is found that makes all mutants human. Cure indeed. Who said the mutants were sick? Such is the view of the mutant self-proclaimed leader Magneto. In the final chapter, Magneto fears that the "cure" will be forced upon the mutant population and wages war against the source of the cure with the aim to destroy it and anything that gets in his and his loyal followers way. All three movies are suspenseful and exciting. No bathroom break urges in these films. New mutants are hatched in each film and some of our favorite mutants are dispatched (quite early on in X3). Special effects are 5-stars. If you've not seen any of the movies (or all of the movies) in the trilogy, this 3-pack is a great opportunity to see a classic tale in chronological order and own a classic 3-part tale in the... I read the bad reviews and I knew that I'd agree with them. But, I was dragged to see it and I knew that it would be a grim few hours. This is one case where I'm glad that I was totally wrong. I liked the movie so much that I've been back to see it again. The acting, that many have cited as dry, was appropriate to the setting and the circumstances of the film. I really didn't expect to see cheerful and lively characters in a story about an impending civil war. The romance, although muted, was appropriate for two very young characters who probably have never had much experience with romance to begin with. The middle was mostly talk and no action. I like a film that takes it's time and lets itself develop, instead of assaulting the viewer with non stop action and little plot or... See less

Well, I usually get the first version and ignore the rest. Spider-man 2.1? Sorry, not getting my money a second time for a few extra minutes. But F.F. 1? That's a special case. Fearing that people might think that they're ripping off the Incredibles, they cut some footage out of the Fantastic Four. Unfortunate, considering the F.F. predate the Incredibles by over four decades. Be that as it may, I've waited two years for this extra material, including the Kirby doc, etc. This movie was very good and they treated the characters of the F.F. very true to form. the only problem lies with those of us comic fans who know so much about the F.F., that we have trouble accepting the changes in Doc Doom for one thing. This is a fun and challenging workout. My girlfriends and I love it, and especially love doing it in a group. You work out every part of the body during all of the exercises. Arms, shoulders, and back are worked during abs, legs, and buns, because almost all the exercises are done holding a 5 lb weight. I have dropped 10 pounds in a month doing this, the Women's Health Wedding Workout, Crunch Boot Camp, and the New York City Ballet Workout (great for lengthening and strengthening my new sylvette). I am really feeling like an envy girl, and getting envious looks from other less motivated ladies. These workouts are pretty hard core, but fun, and though the girls in them are a little gaudy, their bods are not. Have fun! And good luck!
