It's inspired by Circus Freaks, Carnival rides, Marionette Dolls, Avant Garde styling, and Film Noir. The last photo is of the cute doll that initially inspired the piece. I'm keeping the prototype, but I did make a pattern for this dress and can custom make this style in other sizes up to an XL (40" bust, 34 waist). I will be taking better quality photos of this piece shortly. This custom made garment will take up to 8 weeks to complete. The black silk dupioni was all hand pleated by me, and have been angled chevron style at each seam. The double ruffled collar has been interfaced into the neckline so it stands up high around the neck rather than flopping down (though if you prefer this look, the collar can be pushed down). These spat-like pieces are one of the results. they are hand needle tatted with elements of vintage patterns and original designs in black cotton thread. The lace itself measures 7.5" with a degree of stretch. Since it laces up the back with ribbon they should fit most people.
