These guns are extremely accurate right out of the box. The service model was my first XD pistol, my plan was to incorporate a little variety in my collection. So I purchased a glock 21 initially for my choice of .45 caliber. I immediately found myself trading it in on another xd. I simply could not get back on target as easily as I could with my XD. It wasn''t because of recoil but because of the grip angle. For CC I considered getting the glock 26 or 23. But something about putting a glock in my pants for CC left me feeling a little unnerved. I glock with one in the pipe is pretty much condition 0. The safetly built into the trigger being the only safety on the gun just wasn''t enough for me. So I ended up with another xd in subcompact.
