I've complimented the outer fabric with a stunning dupion silk lining in teal, making for a little luxury every time it is opened. ------------------------ Heavyweight cotton outer fabric Two quality heavyweight interlining and quilting layers Dupion silk lining (constructed from one piece - no bottom seam) Top frame width is 8 inches, bottom of clutch 9 inches, height 5 inches In cm - width is 20cm, bottom of clutch is 23cm, height is 12.7cm All corners and stress points are double-stitched Chunky antiqued brass frame ------------------------ **I make these clutches in very small batches. (11/26/08) This series of RainForest Cups has been inspired by my recent trek through Costa Rica's lush rain forests (funded by a Regina Brown Undergraduate Fellowship). I'm attempting to capture the moisture-laden feeling of that pristine environment through the use of high-gloss, high movement glazes. These glazes create a wet, downward pull feeling to the surface that makes one feel as if these "droplets" have been captured in time. This particular cup has a drawing of a pitcher plant on the cream-colored exterior with soft shades of yellow, green and pink glaze running down the top (as well as in the interior of the cup).
