(11/25/08) I like to think of these pieces as 3-dimensional paintings. But, of course, the material is porcelain clay and the "paints" are glazes and underglazes. Approximately 28 cm. (11") high. I used a limited edition mold I created to make the surfboard. The colors are fired in (2250'F). The blues are achieved by "painting" with underglazes of different hues of blue. WHAT'S ON IT: I have painted turtles using ceramic paints. The bowl was then baked in the oven. Bowl you see in the picture is an example, i will paint and ship yours within 2-3 days after receiving your order. HOW TO CARE FOR IT: Although the manufacturer of the paints says that, once baked, they are dishwasher safe, i would still recommend handwashing the bowl, as i have never had the chance to try my products in a dishwasher. You won't find anything else like it around. The lobster clasp is even semi-hidden by one of the scales. You might need someone to help you put it on. It's currently 7.5 inches long. If you aren't sure about fit, take a wrist measurement as size adjustments can be made. It's held together with red rings, and the bracelet has been woven in such a way to be completely flat and comfortable on your wrist. No spikies on the inside!
