without knowing her situation with her friends

or her family

Sweet Sacrifice



My only way to survive is to die.
This is fact, and not a lie.
I can't remain trapped here too much longer.
I've endured so much, yet I'm not getting stronger.
I can't fight anymore, I only give in.
The addiction took over, I've let it win.
Just a word or a glance,
And given the chance,
I find myself mutilated and broken,
And my bandages are soaken.
On my hands and knees,
A slave to my disease,
I scrub the blood from the floor,
But inside I still want to do more.
It controls me, I want it now.
I want to stop, but I don't know how.
I need it to live, without it I'll die
I've tried to be strong, but I only cry.
I'm making a mess,
But I won't do it less.
On the floors, tiles, sheets, and my life,
My blood is all over, dripping off the knife.
Hands shaking, legs bleeding,
Eyes crying, pain proceeding.
It's not enough,
The scars are tough.
Deeper and deeper, I still can't feel.
Am I dreaming? I thought it was real.
The wounds are getting wider,
Criss-crossed like webs of a spider.
Over and over, more times every day.
I'm so ashamed, I must pay.
This isn't my problem, it's my solution.
This is what's best, that's my conclusion.

to drown out the screams,
listen to my screams turn to sobs,
as i think of you and what I've done to myself,
listen to my sobs turn to silence,
as one scar turns to 4, 5, 6, 7,
watch as the silence turns to smiles,
when my arm starts to go numb,
Listen to my laughs,
as i fall to the floor,
and realize that i cut too deep,
Listen to the quiet,
as my body starts to lose feeling,
as I'm finally happy,
as I slowly begin to die.
