This is a 1920s cloche made with vintage wool in a French's mustard yellow. The wool is light weight and is woven in a basket weave pattern. The color is difficult (for me) to capture but if you think of American mustard, that's your color! The cloche is encircled by a 1" band supporting a vintage metal buckle measuring 1" x 1 1/2". The buckle is a slightly darker yellow than the wool and features engravings of flowers in silver and red. The edges of the buckle are a sawtooth pattern. I bought the buckle this week end at an antique show from an amazing dealer. I bought many fantastic buckles from her and can't wait to use them! The hat is lined in 100% cotton in medium brown. The cloche is meant to be over sized and fits low on the head about eyebrow level. This hat will fit a 22" to 23" head. It is a good idea to measure your head to ensure proper fit. I have more of this fabric if you would like a smaller or larger size. See less
