I have made the chain lengths longer than usual, at 60cm and 58cm, the necklace looks very elegant hanging low on the chest. PLEASE NOTE the long length of these chains, the necklace is a 20's style length and the birds site at the bottom section of the chains. (08/21/10) I met a Russian gem dealer at the super-dorky NY Gem and Mineral Show and grilled him about his pretty blue fluorapatite crystals. He showed me, when you hold up two crystals to the light, one on top of the other and at right angles, how the intersecting part appears to be a totally new, deep blue color. (This isn't shown in the images). It doesn't work if you overlap them at any angle other than 90 degrees. Weird, huh? Even if this magical trick didn't exist, these uncut crystal earrings would be pretty great. Each pair of earrings is different, and your fluorapatite may have inclusions, milky coloring, rough ends, crystals-growing-on-crystals, broken-off tops, and/or double terminations. Crystal sizes range from 1/2" to 3/4" inch long and 1/8" wide on average. There's a good chance that your earrings will be slightly different lengths, sizes, and shapes. Flat wire bezel, posts, and backs are sterling silver. See less
