This is the second version of Tyrannosaurus by Marx Toys. The first one, known as the "Pot-Bellied" T-Rex, was released first, in the 1950s. It was more Zallingeresque and stationary, whereas this one is much more dynamic. This figure has been copied by many contemporary toy companies, such as Ja-Ru. In the additional images (above), there is a picture of this T-Rex compared with the "Pot-Bellied" version, as well as a comparison with the current Ja-Ru knockoff. See less
