Schleich is a German company, and was founded by Friedrich Schleich in 1935. They produced figurines of humans (knights, soldiers, etc.) in the 1950s and began the animal line in the 1980s. Probably the most well-known Schleich figures are the Smurfs.

Schleich Smilodon

Dated 2002, From the "museum line." Smilodon is often called "Saber-Toothed Tiger," but actually, it isn't closely related to tigers. "Saber-Toothed Cat" is more accurate.

Schleich Ceratosaurus

Dated 1993, from the "museum line." Ceratosaurus was a top predator in the Jurassic Period, along with the more well-known Allosaurus. 'Ceratosaurus' means 'horned lizard.'

Scheich Spinosaurus...

Dated 1993. From the "museum line." Spinosaurus was made popular by the movie, Jurassic Park III. Before that movie, Spinosaurus figures were few and far between.
