To create the design, Dixon starts with the plastic sphere which is blown like a bubble into a mold. He then adds a film of pure copper to the interior. The process is technically complex, requiring a vacuum metallization process that Dixon has developed over a number of years, as well as specialized machinery and an ultra-clean environment. Crafted by highly skilled technicians, every Copper Shade Pendant is inspected to ensure it meets Dixon's demanding quality standards.
