(10/22/11) This a vintage book charging dock created from an upcycled "New Funk and Wagnalls Yearbook Encyclopedia." We have 1955, 1957, 1960, and 1961(pictured). If you do not specify which year you would like, we will choose the cleanest copy for you. They are all identical with the exception of the year. It is a dark seafoamy green in color, with gold detailing, and black and red highlightss. (Unicorn Publishing logo in gold on the cover) They are in pretty good shape, the pages are clean, but they all have some smudging and signs of wear. It looks like a mild-mannered book on a table or a desk, you almost don't notice that it's a charger. No more dropping the cord behind the desk! (10/26/11) Every Spring for the last couple years one of these amazing Spotted Towhees will show up under our feeders for only a couple days. He does a funny two legged jump up, down and scratch backwards with both legs at the same time dance in the underbrush to scare up bugs. Dean and I get goofy and "Do the Towhee" dance in imitation of him. Nothing funnier than two grown people jigging to a bird! "Do the Towhee...do the Towhee!" I made this towhee from earthenware clay that I hand formed and incised to get all the little feather details. Then I glazed with non-toxic glazes to create a very realistic look. This guy is 7 inches from beak to tail tip, 2 inches at his widest and stands 2.25 inches tall. He feels absolutely wonderful sitting in the palm of your hand! He is one of a kind since no molds were used and even though I will make more, every one will be unique. Made by me, Carrie Wolf of Austin, Texas. The size of the print (in inches): 9,8" x 6,7" (25 x 17 cm) The print is in good condition and the paper shows its age with a creamy patina, perfect for framing. Concerning the age of the paper - cca. 60 years - some spots can be occured on the margin and the reverse side, but these do not effect the quality of the lithograph itself as it can be seen on the scan. You can wrap it around your wrist, use it as a necklace or as a choker. It is simple, but intricate and playful at the same time. It has a perfect amount of colorful sheen in it. Oh, and did I say it's so soft you will WANT to have it on all the time? The braided cord is composed of several bamboo threads that I hand twisted, in black and ecru (off-white) colors. It is finished with silver plated caps and a silver hook. Length (including extender) ranges from 28.5 to 30 inches long (72 to 76 cm). I'll give you the most length I can (twisting is not an exact science!) so if you need a special size, please let me know.
