The Hour of the Star is a book by Clarice Lispector. It blew me away when I read it years ago. I was affected more by the voice of the text and writing technique(s) employed than the plot, really, although they can hardly be separated. On the disturbing side, but an inspirational eye-opener for writers or aspiring writers (perhaps I am somewhere in between, since I have not published a whole book, yet).

Oops. Was I supposed to say something about shopping/clothing/fashion/style? I'm still thinking. I know I love to shop. I can most definitely say I am here to explore and learn, as much as to share. I do not know if I have any one particular "style." I change my mind a lot, and like to try new things, although I usually end up dressing quite casually. I love to look at dresses, but I just do not end up wearing them very often.
I like to be comfortable.
I am currently taking an interest in exploring art lists on Kaboodle. I know I need to organize my chaotic lists!
I will edit this or add more if I can think of more or anything better. : )
My wardrobe options are sadly limited because I am supposed to be wearing sturdy sneakers most days (with my custom made insert-things in them) because I have arthritis in my toes already! I used to do a lot of running and sports, and it turns out I have fallen arches and the toe joints were getting all jammed up. So, although I break the rules now and then so I can feel pretty, you can see how a dress doesn't really work with my North Face Hedgehog sneakers! Oh well. : ) I do so love sneakers, though. Good thing.
I will try to edit this to be shorter and/or more interesting soon. ha! Thanks for stopping in.
P.S. I LOVE music!!! I need to have headphones on to get almost anything around the house done. Sometimes I even go to stores with them on and shop around while listening to my mp3 player. Love it.

Thanks
