It has belt loops and I'm sure at one time had a pink ribbon belt. It would be easy to add another one, or a belt of your own, or clip the loops. (They're just string.) Wear it as is, or rock it up with your creativity. The Nitty Gritty: This dress is in excellent condition. I see no flaws. It has the Gunne Sax by Jessica MCClintock tag inside, along with a tag that says dry clean, and one that says it is polyester, acetate, and nylon. The tag says size 5, but it runs small. It wouldn't zip all the way up on my size 4 dress form (it was too small in the bust,) so I'd say it is no bigger than a three. The dress label says J.C.Penney and another label says dry clean only and size 5/6. The dress zips up the back. Condition: Tiny and very hard to see spot on the bodice that may dry clean out. Also, the dress has about six small holes throughout the skirt. They would probably be almost impossible to see when worn. We only saw them when lifting the skirt to look from underneath. The straps can be wide or narrow, whatever you like, as a matter of fact you can even remove them to create a strapless dress! How smart is that? They snap onto the front of the dress with three snaps each. The back of the straps are draw together with a loop of fabric, so they are simple to remove. The bodice has boning in the front and the back. In the front the chiffon is gathered all across the bust. The skirt is a balloon skirt that doesn't just stop at the bottom but is drawn under and up the inside where it is attached to a lavender lining and netting that goes up to the waist. There is a slip that goes underneath all of that. Along the front of the skirt there is an extra layer of chiffon that starts at the satin bow and widens out as it goes to the bottom and gets drawn up underneath. When I look at the dress, all I can think of is the girl who is probably a grandmother by now who lovingly made it. Did she have fun at her prom? Did her boyfriend like the color? It's got a simple boned, spaghetti strap bodice with a sweetheart bust line and princess seams and full circle-plus skirt of baby blue sheer light fabric that's got an all over white eyelet embroidered pattern. It's fully lined with matching satin. The Nitty Gritty: It does have a couple of issues. Namely, toward the bottom in front it has a stain on both layers. It seems like something was spilled on it. I gave the whole dress a good soak in cold water and the stain did lighten, but it didn't go away. I don't have access to a dry cleaner, but you might try that to see if the stain will disappear or fade more. You could also shorten the skirt from ballet length to knee length, which would...
