(Viking Press Edition 1967) THE DUBLINERS Dubliners is a collection of 15 short stories by James Joyce, first published in 1914. The fifteen stories were meant to be a naturalistic depiction of the Irish middle class life in and around Dublin in the early years of the 20th century. (Viking Press Edition 1967) ULYSSES Ulysses records events in the lives of two central characters--Leopold Bloom and Stephen Dedalus--on a single day in Dublin. With its depth and complexities, Ulysses completely changed our understanding of literature and language. (Random House 1961) All three books are appear to be unread (in particular Ulysses) as the binding is still very tight. There is some minor dust on the books and some wear on the edges as books have been in storage for many years.
