(11/04/10) September 18, 2010: Just go to any store that sells computer accessories and buy a "USB 2.0 Extension cable". They make them in several lengths. This Nook AC Adapter is better than the one I got with my Phone and they want a small fortune for it and the cable can't be detached & used on my computer. The rated output is 5.0 Volts D.C. at 0.85 Amps (850 ma). If you use your computer to connect to your Nook, the USB 2.0 port can only supply 0.50 Amps (500 ma) of charging power, which will take a little longer to charge the Nook's internal battery. If your computer doesn't have USB port that's easy to get to, just plug a USB 2.0 Extension Cable in the back of the computer and put the other end where the Nook cable can be easily plugged into it.See less
