(08/27/10) Which doublers? It doesn't really matter. Don't sweat this too much. But here are Karen's opinions: Hemp is dense, absorbent and trim. Premium Doublers in 100% cotton are less dense and just slightly less absorbent and a little bit thicker but soft and squishy, whereas hemp is more dense and a little more firm feeling yet trimmer. The top of the line are the Organic Velour Doublers. They have the great aborbency and trimmness like the hemp but the softness of cotton in the softest material. But, they are more expensive. All the doublers work and are good quality. If your budget allows the Organic Velour, go for it. If not, the hemp doublers are the most popular and are excellent. Premium doublers are offered for those who don't want hemp and want pure cotton but prefer a more economical price than the Organic Velour doublers. Most people choose the Hemp Doublers and love them.See less

Made of a stretchy polyurethane, they have grippers similar to ace bandage closures (but bent back around, not poking down) which hold the prefold in place without pins. I love these. Those moms who like these, really love them a lot! Give one a try. Fastening your prefolds saves you money. How? They help keep poop off the covers because they hold everything in place better than just laying prefold in a cover unfastened. When covers stay clean longer, you don't really need to buy quite so many. Many moms feel that everything works better when the prefold is fastened. Give it a try! Packaged individually.
