The Blank Canvas Project by Fred Perry continues to produce exciting collaborations. The latest is by &Son, the creative practise established by the respected stylists Simon Foxton and Nick Griffiths. Simon is currently Fashion Director at ID and Nick Contributes regularly to I-D, Vogue, GQ, Esquire and Wallpaper. For the &Son Blank Canvas project they were inspired by the naval camouflage of World War One and Two. The four styles are taken from cubist designs that were commissioned by the Admiralty to appear on the side of Battleships- this revolutionary camouflage became known as 'Dazzle'. The bright, bold and striking designs aimed to confuse and disrupt the vision of enemy submariners. All shirts in the range are 100% cotton, screen-printed and made in England.
