Headbands have always given me a headache . . . but I love the classic look, whether my hair is up or down, so I designed my own. This one will never slip out of position as the re-purposed leather naturally grips your hair. I've also used two pieces of elastic at the base which I've found can be positioned to distribute the pressure that tends to build up after wearing a headband all day. The elastic has enough give that these headbands will fit most heads comfortably. 100% handmade Offered here in rich brown. And it was ground and used as the base for paint by the monks who created illuminated manuscripts during the Renaissance. Here, six gorgeous, plump briolettes of faceted Lapis hang from a tough-but-feminine vintage goldplate chain.
