(10/18/07) Here's a whimsical set of 3 fun and colorful vases that were etched by me using a sandcarving (sandblasting) technique. The thick glass vases themselves are light frosted on the outside. Each vase measures ~ 7 1/2 inches tall x 2 1/4 inches wide. The deep-etch was then painted to bring out the design. I also do custom work, so contact me if you have a design you would like etched into glass, stone, tile, or wood. I prefer Paypal payments! It is safe and fast and easy! I will also accept money orders or certified checks by mail...please NO personal checks. Buyers pay all shipping costs. Items will be mailed via Fed Ex Ground unless buyer makes special requests. I try to describe my items to the best of my knowledge. If you feel that an item is NOT as I described, please contact me first and I will gladly resolve the issue with you. (10/18/07) These little boards started their artistic life with a edicol dye (food & finger dye) wash that was heavy on the pigment. Then came the acrylic cover up. Then the white plastic coated copper wire was added to give depth. But the edicol would not be suppressed, especially after the sealer was applied! My approach was to try and lead the eye from the top left corner to the bottom right. Title: The Reeds Of My Childhood Dreams Year: 2007 Mediums: Acrylic paint, edicol dye, plastic coated copper wire (& pva glue) Size: 3 canvases - each one is 17.8 x 12.7 x 0.3 cm (7 x 5 x 0.12 inches) Support: Fredrix Artist Canvas Panel x 3 Signed, Dated & Titled on back Framing is needed - I would suggest attaching to a backing board to preserve the three dimensionality and tactile nature of the work. Sealed: Satin acrylic sealer - photographs show the shine.See less
