TEACHING: Websites for Elementary School

I'm on my way to becoming an elementary school teacher...I've already completed 120 hours of lab time with preschool and 144 hour with primary grades (K-5). In addition, I formerly worked as an RSP Aide with junior high students for our local school district. Along the way, I've had to write and implement many lesson plans, observation methods, discipline policies, etc. This is a list of the websites that have helped me with my assignments and are beneficial to new and veteran teachers everywhere.

I live in Southern California, about an hour away from LA. In one of my lab classes, I worked with a young boy who had just moved to the U.S. from Mexico and knew not a single word of English. He was put in a regular first grade classroom and expected to adapt. I used this site for ideas on teaching him English...and four months later, he knew quite a few English phrases, the alphabet, numbers 1-10, and quite a bit of vocabulary. We have a very high ESL population and I know I will get a lot of help from this site.
