This site allows you to tell people about onground meetings in a particular area - perhaps it could be a useful way to get people networking before the conference so they would be ready to "meet up" when they go there.

Another organization with some useful networking tips - this is lengthier than the librarians yellow pages list. Again we might be able to get permission to use the material or we could follow the links they list at the bottom of the page and create our own with a type flavor.

This organization has both pre-conference networking "tools" (this page) and networking events scheduled during the conference (follow link to onsite networking activities). One of the tools is a presentation of networking to help attendees make the most of the conference - we could do something like this based on type/functions/temperaments/functions.

This organization has a system that appears to be more sophisticated than what we would want to attempt first time around, but it was interesting to look at their user's guide (click on the registration link and then the user's guide link to download.

This conference offers a variety of networking options - meeting before the conference starts as well as during the conference to share experiences, get tips on networking itself and to hear from others in what appears to be akin to our Interest Areas.
