Vintage Port Collection

Since 1948, there have only been four classic-quality vintages of Port: 1985, 1977, 1970 and 1963. I'm lucky to have '63, '70 and '77, still looking for a '85 and would love a '48.

This is my last bottle, I drank the other '63 with friends a couple of years ago and it was the best I have ever had!

Grahams 1970 Vintage Port...

Wine Spectator: This is an extremely full-bodied, powerful wine, but it still retains a classy balance. Deep ruby, with chocolate and berry aromas, full-bodied, with anise and dried cherry flavors, full, hard tannins and a long finish. Good now but a... See more more

I'd love to find a good "Port Tasting" event in the SF Bay area. Do you know of any?

Julie, I remember Vin, Vino, Wine being a great shop that did periodic port tastings. They come highly recommended from a very reputable source as a wine shop.

Hey there Keyron! Nice collection of wine sites! I was wondering, do you have a dedicated wine cellar? Do you manage it well? Because I wish I could answer yes to both, but I can't. My "cellar" consists of nothing more than a cheap pine rack from Ikea in a dark, cool corner of the basement, where I store the daily drinkers and accumulate special bottles that will only be opened on the right occasion. I don't manage it well at all.---"Stop thinking of rental cars, business trips, web templates, real estate and martial arts, it's not going to happen." (J-Pizzie)

I have a bottle of Hooper's Port of the 1937 Vintage. Is this of interest to anyone?
