Please convo me for details. Here is a wonderful vintage reproduction organdy and satin two-tone dress which I've made using an original 1950s dress pattern (with modifications). The result has a little of the matador about it, given the high, very fitted waistline, and the combination of black and white with ruffles. The bodice is a simple kimono sleeve style, made from crisp white embroidered organdy. I Then added a pretty "tuxedo" ruffle made from a beautiful embroidered organdy trim, then topped this off with 6 tiny, cut-glass vintage buttons. Beautiful dark blue silk Ceil Chapman cocktail dress with a ruched off-the-shoulder bodice. Unbelievably form-flattering. The bodice is nice tailored to fit with an off-the-shoulder cut and dipped neckline. The entire bodice is ruched, front and back. The skirt is straight with an overskirt that is shaped with a stiff facing to flare out. In the back, this overskirt more full and has a tucked pleat at the back. A very dramatic, yet sophisticated dress! Fully lined with an acetate/rayon fabric. Condition: very good with no noticeable problems. The ruching across the bust is not as pressed as it was originally. Some very slight wrinkles in the silk fabric that are not noticeable. A couple very slight marks at the underarms that are not visible and small blotch at the back of the skirt that is not noticeable. The skirt has been taken up about 3". No other adjustments found.
