The lid keeps food inside secure and the handles are a great size for children to carry. Handle lenghts vary a little. Handmade straw basket from Mexico (sometimes from Peru or Brazil). Colors vary, if you have a preference for color, please put that in the comment section. There are more colors than shown. Six inches tall, not including the handles. Eight inches wide by 5 inches deep. Handles are about 6 inches tall. A NOTE ON COLORS: Right now every basket has pink in it, in the handle or the lid and/or the latch and/or in the pattern. We do not have any right now with NO pink. Don't forget to order a Klean Kanteen to go in your child's basket. The 12 oz. fits well and the 18 oz. fits laying down at an angle.See less
