I'm a massage therapist and a freelance writer. Lately, I've been using kaboodle to come up with some decor ideas for my new apartment. It's been about three years since I've lived by myself, and I'm so excited to have my own space again.
My interior style is best described as contemporary modern, with a dash of bohemian/exotic and a smash of whimsy. I'm eclectic and I like my space to reflect who I am. My biggest challenge is keeping things simple and editing my desire to have a lot of things to fill a space.
I'm working on The Cure via apartmenttherapy.com, and I'll officially start the project on November 1st, the weekend after I move in.
In terms of personal style, I like a classic style mixed with some funky/boho/rock pieces. I'm like a New Yorker wrapped in a Texan girl's style: I try hard to add color to my wardrobe, but I'm drawn to blacks, grays, and neutrals. I'm also trying hard to feminize my style, and find pieces that compliment my tomboyish flair without making me feel awkward. But, I am definitely most comfortable in jeans and a t-shirt.
