Things Merz should do in Calif.

My sister Meredith is leaving her beautiful home in North Carolina for California, don't ask me why. So I figured I would come up with a list of exciting things to see and do while she is there. Sightseeing in it self is a waste of time: "Let's go to the Grand Canyon." "Look a hole in the ground." Visiting places is sometimes nice just to breathe in the history. Visiting Sun Studios was fun but I'm not going to pay $12 to see a bunch of dusty old recording equipment. Note: These are not in any sort of useful order so don't go thinking they are.

Sure eating pizza made from canned tuna an unrefrigated cheese in Ghana makes you feel a long way from home but nothing hits you quite like a government sign telling you exactally how many miles from home you are.

Gilman St. is a well known punk haven. Kind of like Haight-Ashbury is for hippies.
