(05/15/12) THIS WORK IS LICENCED UNDER A CREATIVE COMMONS LICENCE BASED ON WORK AT www.pinkcloud.dk CONTACT info@pinkcloud.dk PEAK OIL IS NEAR… An oil silo, or LPG Vessel, is a storage container for compressed liquefied petroleum gas. Oil silos are fully pressurized, waterproof, and built to meet industrial standards. There are approximately 49,000 oil silos in over 660 oil refineries worldwide! As the human population increases at an exponential rate, oil discovery is decreasing at an exponential rate. Natural gas is becoming scarce and oil silos are now becoming abandoned as storage containers. As Earth rapidly approaches Peak Oil, non-renewable fossil fuel resources are diminishing fast. Soon humans can no longer depend on natural gas as an energy source. At this point, humans cannot use the existing 49,000 oil silos as fuel storage containers. Oil Silos will all be emptied and abandoned.See less

(04/28/11) Heading south from Benxi city on National Road 304, the structures of the city disintegrate--the road is ravaged by potholes. As National Road 304 stretches beyond the plains of Shenyang it begins to climb the rolling hills at the western edge of the Changbai mountain range, and enter Benxi. Continuing south, the road winds up the ever steeper foothills that rise from here eastward into Jinan, and North Korea. Read more...See less

(04/22/11) Mulch gardens are to permaculture what flat breads and chillies are to Mexico. Wherever I work, I introduce compost making and mulch gardens. The go so well together and are the beginning of abundance. While the gardens come in all shapes and sizes and need to be managed to suit the environment, they are easy to build and not much can go wrong. (03/01/11) "Our house may look expensive, but the reality is that we only have about $10 a square foot into it. The whole house cost about as much as the average new car. Yet I have seen some million dollar homes that looked like junk. Appearance, like energy efficiency, is more a product of design than of cost. You can take the same materials and arrange them poorly or arrange them well." "With a combined income averaging $10,000 to $12,000 a year we lived simply and invested everything we could in building materials. Construction proceeded slowly throughout the process, due to our chronic lack of money. We moved into the house after the second summer, with no doors, few windows, and no insulation in the roof. Winter stopped about three feet from the stove. This might all seem a little rough, but I later realized that we saved at least $150,000 in interest payments by eliminating the need for a loan. That is not a bad wage for a couple years of camping out!"See less
