A jeweled watch movement sits under a glass stone within an antique silver crown prong setting along with a silver butterfly, fern, an aqua swarovski rivoli glass jewel and a vintage watch dial. The setting is attached to an antique silver filigree and hangs from antique silver rollo chain. In asymmetrical fashion another silver butterfly floats along the chain with a czech glass rondelle with picasso stone finish. It is difficult photographing this piece without getting the haze over the design. In reality the glass is clear, not hazy. The necklace measures 18" and the drop is 2". This design is also available in brass. The filigrees, setting, butterflies and rings are antique sterling plated brass and nickle free. A couple of months ago The Lady and I came to the realization that we had painted the walls and woodwork in every room in our home except for the master bedroom. Our house was built in the 1970's and this means beige and brown decor. Thus, our bedroom was just about the most depressing of any of the rooms in our home. We set about to remedy this post haste! We began by painting the walls a pleasant sage green and changing the woodwork from a dark brown stained pine to a contrasting French Cream. When it came time to change out the light switch plates, I thought I'd make a few in the Steampunk style. More after the cut . . . Step one was to gather material, so I dumped out my box of small brass bits and fished through them for some likely candidates. These have been lovingly collected over the years from many sources, but most came from our town dump. The chosen bits I intended to solder on to solid brass lightswitch cover plates. ~Welcome to my listing~ I'm very proud to present my first Steampunk design, a limited edition. This cuff watch is a must-have accessory for every scientist or adventurer. It will tell the time, while reminding you how precious it is. Time does fly. This is not just a women's cuff, its size and theme makes it suitable for the gentlemen as well. It features brass and silver plated brass components, Swarovski crystals and pearl, and one working watch face. All components are nickel and lead free. The asymmetrical cuff measures 5.5cm (2 inches) tall at its widest point. The inner width is 6.5cm (2.5 inches). Its inner perimeter is 20cms (7.8 inches). It's a relatively large cuff, and even though it's adjustable, I'd suggest you wear it higher or lower on your arm rather than trying to tighten it, cause of all the complex and fragile gadgets on it.
