We’ve been dying to do our pimping thing, so what better opportunity than a Bank Holiday Sunday! What to make? – easy, we all love Oreos. Oreos O Oreos, how do we love thee? Let us count the ways. Well since Oreos are already perfect, the only way to improve on perfection is to make them bigger !! 1. - serves 12 to 20 - Ingredients 6 cups Rice Krispies (or other puffed rice cereal) 4 cups marshmallows 1/4 cup butter 12 to 20 Swedish Fish (or other fish-shaped candy) 1 package of Fruit by the Foot or Fruit Roll-Ups Gummy worms (optional) Procedure 1. Unwrap Swedish Fish and Fruit by the Foot and set to side. Prepare a baking sheet with wax paper. 2. Melt butter and marshmallows together. 3. Once melted together reduce heat and gently stir in Rice Krispies. 4. Keep mixture warm and pliable and immediatly start forming into sushi-sized balls (or a little bigger). Place Swedish Fish on top and wrap with a piece of the Fruit by the Foot. Lie on baking sheet and work till all Rice Krispies mix is finished. It's that time of the year again! That time when you fuel capitalism, and the bellies of florists everywhere! It's easy to get stuff for girls; you just get a box of Whitman's from your local drug store, slap on a sticky note on it, and she's all over you like oatmeal on cholesterol. We're saps like that. Even with all the seemingly endless lists of gift ideas, however, every year I still have trouble getting coming up with something romantic yet original for the love of my life. What do you get a nerdy, geeky, techy boy that loves video games and has an obsession for collecting roms backups? I don't want to get him computer parts again. Well, this year it hit me. My boy loves video games. My boy also loves cupcakes with home-made frosting. Why not combine the two?! That's right, folks. Pre-heat oven to 350°F. I'll warn you right now that you're only going to get eight cupcakes out of this batter. You'll most likely get tired of decorating after eight, but if you want more, better double up the ingredients. Dump everything together in one big bowl and mix. Ladle up the batter and drop into a cupcake tray that's lined with those paper cupcake thingies. You're not supposed to take food images with a flash, but doesn't that look delicious? Fill the cupcake tray all the way to the top. You want a high puffy top on the muffin when they finish baking. If you're like me and made a mess all over the tray, take a napkin and wipe up any stray splatters. Pop in the oven for 25 minutes. You'll know they're done when you stick a knife (or a toothpick) into one and it comes out clean. Brought to you by shaky cam. If you can squint, you can see how the cupcakes are nice and puffy.
