What I like about shows like Firefly and Battlestar Galactica is that in both shows the eponymous vessels-- space ships, capable of faster-than-light speed, and symbols of the height of man's technological advancement-- are antiquated, hulking barge-like things. But don't worry, you don't need to be a big geek or have any idea what I'm talking about to look like an otherworldly vision wearing the Starship Earrings. They are long, modern, geometrical and sleek-- but as antiqued and as mysterious as an ancient relic. The kidney ear wire is 18k gold-plate over brass and the chain is shoulder-grazing 3" in length. The mysterious findings come from a mid-century (unused) vintage lot. (Original purpose: who knows?) See less

The diminutive banner (less than 1.5" across) reads "Ich Liebe Dich" and sits beautifully at or just below the collarbone, flattering to all necks and complimenting most top's and dresses' necklines. The lettering is slightly darkened to make the words legible and the piece has been finished with a satiny, brushed texture. Necklace is 16" long and closes with a hook-and-toggle clasp.
