(09/05/09) A vintage umbrella, with a stitched leather handle, in a dark yellow fabric, has been decorated with over 12 yards of trim and lace. There is some slight staining of the fabric, and some of the stitching is missing on the handle, but it is otherwise in good condition. Perfect for the lady adventurer out and about in the world, to protect from rain or shine. Closed, it measures 34" long, and when opened it is 35" in diameter. It can serve in either rain or shine to protect the user. These parasols all start as vintage or antique umbrellas, and as such have a variety of minor flaws resulting from use and age, lending to their charm. (08/17/09) This is a vintage or antique parasol, that was in sad shape when I found it tucked away in a corner in an antique shop. I've repaired the fabric to the best of my ability, then proceeded to decorate it with over 17 yards of a mixture of gold and black braids and trims. It has a black handle that fades to ivory, slightly the worse for wear. The parasol measures 35" in diameter when open and is 23" in length when closed.
