(02/28/10) I've taken my scribe to cups these days. Here is one of my tumblers painted in a soft pale yellow with a happy canary yellow interior and etched with a California native, coreopsis flower on one side and a graphic rectangle on the other. A little surprise awaits the person sitting across from you when you lift the cup to drink, my signature black bird (a wren) screen printed on the bottom of the cup makes itself seen. The cup measures 3 3/4" x 3 3/4" and holds approximately 12 oz's of your favorite beverage. The cups are made from a stoneware casting slip, cast from a mold of my own original tumbler. They are glazed on the inside and left unglazed on the outside. The result, a lovely contrast between shiny and matte. All my work is made with lead free food safe materials and yes, they are good for hot beverages. If it's too hot to hold, it's too hot to drink. These cups are not meant for the microwave or dishwasher. Please hand wash.See less

They were originally part of a set of 4 nesting measuring cups. All cups are marked on the handle with the cup size and equivalent ounces. None are marked on the bottom, since Jeannette didn't stamp any of these measuring cups. These are NOT reproductions (ask me how I know if you are really interested). 1/2 measuring cup: equivalent to 4 ounces. Has one very tiny chip on the rim... very hard to see. 1/3 measuring cup: equivalent to 2 2/3 ounces. Perfect condition. (02/23/10) This canister is too cute! It was made by Jeannette in what some call the "beehive" design, due to the ribbed pattern near the bottom. Jeannette made two shades of jadite in this pattern - this canister is the darker green jadite (see comparison to the Jeannette lighter jadite measuring cup in last photo). The Tea canister is in excellent condition. The glass is without chips, cracks, stains, scratches or flea bites. There is a slight roughness on the inside of the rim, but it is hardly noticeable. It is marked with the Jeannette symbol (a "J" inside a triangle) on the bottom, along with the numbers "2115-5" (see fourth photo). The lid has 2 tiny dings in it (see second photo). Measurements: 3.5" diameter, 4.625" tall. *Tea Canister is listed for $110- $125 on page 89 of "Kitchen Glassware of the Depression Years", Seventh Edition, by Cathy & Gene Florence.*See less
