Borrowed from lavabunny.

Love a michelada.

This sounds wonderful. I'll have to give it a go this weekend and let you know how it turned out!

It's like a bloody mary with beer almost. Gosh, I could go for one now, what time is it?

Hmm, I never thought of it that way LB. Always reminded me of a beer margarita, only different. That made no sense at all. :) I need to stop looking and talking about drinks...

Thanks lavabunny, I love bloody mary's also. It should turn out quite yummy! lamerchick, your getting all tipsy just thinkin about drinks!

It's Wed. morning for gosh sake. :) Listen to LB. Actually, if you leave out the Worcestershire sauce and hot sauce it IS kind of like a beer margarita. That was the point I was trying to make. But I failed miserably. Back to bartending school for me...or creative writing might be better...

@lamerchick do you have an all time fav drink recipe u can share w/me. I'm getting bored w/ML. Wanna kick it up a notch this weekend. Oh and it would have to be w/Vodka.

Lol, the first that comes to my mind with Vodka is the Kamikaze:1.25 oz. Vodka0.25 oz. triple sec0.25 oz. lime juiceAdd lime juice, triple sec and Vodka.Shake and strain into a shot glass.Quick and easy, both making and getting the job done. Let me think what my favorites are though.

Kamikaze, holy crap I think it would get the job done. I don't think I've ever had one. We never measure our Vodka drink's. Hub's always tells me to put 3 cubes in then 3 fingers high of Vodka then the oj, cranberry, etc.. I'll need to get some cute lil measuring cups.

@lamerchick, but hey if people can booze with breakfast on the weekends, I don't know what's so special about Wednesday!

@lavabunny: It's called work. :)@capri: I don't measure either at home. But when you're doing if for a $ with someone else's booze, you kind of need to measure... ;)

@capri: Here's a few popular ones. They're all good. Some simple and some a little more complex. Adjust to suit your taste of course. :)Long Island Iced Tea1 part vodka1 part Tequila1 part rum1 part gin1 part triple sec1 1/2 parts sweet and sour mix1 splash ColaMix ingredients together over ice in a glass. Pour into a shaker and give one brisk shake. Pour back into the glass and make sure there is a touch of fizz at the top. Garnish with lemon.Salty Dog5 oz grapefruit juice*1 1/2 oz vodka*1/4 tsp salt*Pour ingredients into a glass over ice cubes, stir well, and serve. *Adjust to suit.Basic Screwdriver2 oz vodka5 oz orange juicePut 3 ice cubes into a glass. Pour in vodka. Fill balance of glass with orange juice, stir, and serve.Vodka and Cola1 1/2 oz Vodka3 oz cola1 wedge limeIn a glass with ice, add Vodka and cola. Garnish with lime wedge.Beachcomber1 1/4 oz Vodka1/4 oz Rum1/2 oz pineapple juice1/4 oz orange juice1 slice orangeAdd pineapple juice, orange juice, Vodka, Rum. Shake with ice and strain into an ice-filled rocks glass. Garnish with an orange slice.Baileys Frozen Russian1 oz Baileys Original Irish Cream1/4 oz Smirnoff No. 21 Vodka1/4 oz Godiva Original Liqueur2 scoops vanilla ice creamAdd Baileys Original Irish Cream, Vodka, and Godiva Original Liqueur. Add vanilla ice cream, blend, and serve in hurricane glass.White Cloud3/4 oz Sambuca1/2 oz Vodka1 oz cream3 oz hot coffeePour Sambuca, Vodka, and cream into a cup of hot coffee. Top with whipped cream.

And of course there are tons of variations of most drinks. These are pretty basic.

Oh too, I don't really care for really sweet drinks most of the time, and somehow I don't think you're that kind of girl either, so I left them off for the most part.

You did great. I added them to my Buzz:30 list. Wow I really want the Beachcomber right now!

One more for now:Flirtini (love the name)1 part citrus vodka1 part coconut rum1/2 part pineapple juice1/2 part cranberry juice cocktailSplash sweet and sour mixIce cubesCombine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker filled with ice cubes. Shake vigorously and strain into chilled martini glass.

Work? As long as you keep it to yourself and I keep it to myself well then everyone's happy.

Lol, if you notice I like things with pineapple and grapefruit a lot. :)

And thanks! :)

Lol. I'm happy. :) But I'll be even happier after I get home tonight and actually have a drink after all this. :)

Yummy, we like pineapple and grapefruit a lot so these are awesome. Lord, Slimfast is just not hitting the spot right now.

Sorry, I know of some of the energy drink cocktails, but don't know of one with Slimfast. :)

I guess anything that goes w/Vanilla, Chocolate or Strawberry. Guess what. Right after I finish my SlimFast a gal treats us all to Wendy's Frosty's by surprise. I'm diving into it right now. A vanilla one.

Cheater. ;)

It was sooooo good. I'm gonna have to pass on my left over Salmon now. I don't think the two would go well.

I'm jealous...of the frosty that is. Well, the salmon too, as a matter of fact. :)

I can't believe I'm still hungry after the Frosty. I so want to heat up the salmon and rice. I got Pepto at home. Maybe I'll just go for it!

Mmm, yummy...slimfast, salmon and frosty. Now there's a meal to curdle your stomach. :D

Of course I have to have this for gregsgal. :)

Yay! I'm there!

yummm =)

ok-1 question & 1 comment if ya dont mind question-what is "simple syrup" (sorry if its a dumb question) comment-thanx tons for putting this on ur list today-i just happened to see it & it has been driving me nuts lately with all the ads on tv as to what a mojito was-sounds like i need to try one-but would mint taste better than basil?

Simple syrup is a mixture of sugar and water that is heated until all the sugar has been dissolved. You can use simple syrup in tons of stuff and even flavor them. I have one on hand that's lavender infused (make a simple syrup then steep lavender flowers in it). I've never actually had one with basil, but this sounds too good to pass up. I'm a fan of the regular lime and mint ones, but I've heard of tons of different flavors.

Gregsgal is the expert on these. There are SO many flavors and ways to make them a have to pull out a book sometimes. I do believe there is one with basil. I have to look.

Posted a basil version just now. :)

well, i just cant thank ya'll enough for being so kind & helpin an old chick out-lol. my parents tried to bring us up in a very innocent world & i guess they succeeded, cuz there is just tons of stuff i am just learning about now-like black american express cards-i could really use one of those!

Haha, I am really not an expert on these AT ALL. I just happen to like them a lot. : ]

This sounds delish!

Lol. It's random times whenever we get together. You're likely to hit it on any given weekend night, especially long weekends. But any night will do. :)

I love a girls night! Don't forget to invite me!

sweet list!

am i the only 1 who noticed that drinks always have the coolest names like that bahama mama!?

Yeah, I'm so there too.

I LOVE drinks with cool names, along with pretty drinks, but no wussy drinks. :)

This is such a fun list!@lamerchick I love wussy drinks! The girlier, the better.

@nocreativity: I didn't mean girly wussy, I meant too little alcohol wussy. :)

So the next time you have a girls night, I need to be invited. The party doesn't start til I'm around! LOL Plus I want to eat all the yummy food and drink all the boozy beverages. LOL
