These large and impressive ear rings feature a pair of 24x18mm natural carved amethyst cabochons. The high domed cabs have been carved skillfully into the form of an abstract flower which compliments the lively open color of the amethyst. Surrounding each stone is a gold bezel with a twist of wire at the base which is in turn surrounded by a ring of creamy-white pears outlined in gold wire filigree. The back of the ear ring is a post with a clip that helps hold the ear ring flush with the ear lobe for a comfortable fit. The clip back has a wonderful hidden feature: the bottom of the clip that hold the ear ring to the ear is in the shape of a heart! Because of this detail and other features of the fine construction of these ear rings, I think there is a good chance that they were manufactured in Italy. 30x26mm See less

If you are looking for a really beautiful pair of gem quality jadeite ear rings, than these are the ones for you. These beautifully matched natural bright-green jadeite 15x10 bezel set cabochons have a wonderful color and polish. The natural mottling of greens can be seen in these stones and they have the high polish characteristic of finely cut jade. Another mark of their quality is that they are set with open backs; jewelers often set fine jade in open back settings as proof that a dark-colored background is not being used to deepen the color of the stone to enhance its appearance. The bezels are surrounded by a simple decorative oval with filigree gold wire which enhances but does not detract from the jade. The back are 18kt yellow gold lever-back wires that allow the ear rings to dangle just a bit from the wearers ear. 20x12mm See less

These ear rings are really impressive. They are made from truly lovely translucent purple chalcedony and bright lively-green precious jadeite cabochons. The purple chalcedony is held in place with 4 gold prongs and the 7x4mm jadeite cabochons are bezel set in the center of each chalcedony disk. The workmanship is excellent; on the back of each ear ring you can see where the setting for the jadeite has been bolted securely to the back of the chalcedony so that the jade seems to float in the center of the ear ring. The back of the ear rings are posts that show no signs of bending or damage. There is a very slight polishing mark on one of the chalcedony disks close to where the jade is set; I really had to look for it under 10x magnification to find it. These ear rings fit snugly on the ear and are very comfortable to wear. 14mm See less
