This is my new summer halter top. I called it "Jayne" in honor of a certain actress because it definitely has that zaftig flavour. Apparently Jayne Mansfield won several beauty contests in Texas. One that she declined to accept the crown for was "Miss Roquefort Cheese", because it just didn't sound right. Good career move, Jayne. Now, back to the top. This one is black. Black, the color of choice of beatniks, punks, goth, priests and nuns, all the people in touch with....the dark side. You can always be assured you will look your slimmest, your most mysterious in black. The top features side-boob ruching, interesting seaming (front princess, and no side seams!), and the friendly little skeleton on the side. I made it with utmost care, using my serger for the seams, and tucking in elastic at the front and back neckline for a no-crawl, no-surprises fit.
