After containing my yarn excesses last month with a new Stash Basket, this month I turned my attention to the discombobulated world of my craft accessories. I wanted everything to have a place, and I wanted that place to have style! So here are Three Little Pouches to get us on the road to organizational nirvana. The first one is a drawstring bag for all the loose buttons you've picked up along the way. The second is a perfect sleeve for crochet hooks (the stitch pattern is slip stitches, not fair isle, in other words, way easier!) And the third is a Gooseberry Stitch purse for small knitting necessities: tapestry needles, a measuring tape, stitch markers, a pocket gauge, folding scissors. To make my pouches really special I used Manos del Uruguay's Silk Blend, 30% silk and 70% merino. Tension: 5 Cast on with waste yarn, 18 stitches (needles 9 - 9) and knit a few rows. Knit 1 row ravel cord Ewrap cast on with main color yarn, Knit 1 row Row 1: You always skip the end needles as you Transfer every other stitch to the needle next to it starting with the 2nd needle from the left. Leave empty needles in work, K 2 rows. Row 2: Again skip the end needles as you transfer every other stitch to the needles next to it but start with the 3rd needle from the left. Leave empty needles in work, K 2 rows. 发信人: LADYQIAN (钱夫人), 信区: Craft 标 题: PROJECTOR SCREEN DIY 发信站: BBS 未名空间站 (Mon Jan 15 00:37:24 2007) 我们买了一个projector，想在家看看大屏幕电影。(没有电视，因为不想让孩子看：)) 。但是我们家地方小，没有空间做成专门的‘家庭影院’ ；只有在客厅看， projector在看的时候才搬出来。这样Projector screen就成了问题，市上卖的很重， 三、四十磅；即使收起来时也很显眼；而且大屏幕的都很贵，有的快赶上projector自 己的价格了。但是没有SCREEN也不行，效果太差。於是我们DIY，做了一个。 我的摄影没水平，请大家担待一哈：) 这是效果： 收起来的样子。看不大出来吧？！ 放下来的样子。 材料： A。3 yard white vinyl (54英寸宽的) ； 两条1/4英尺的white vinyl (54英 寸宽的) ，每条都裁成6份。。这就是白色人造革，在布店都可以买到。 B。Hot glue gun & glue sticks。在布店都可以买到。 C。一条10英尺圆木棍，或者两条，我们只用了一条，上边利用窗帘的ROD了。木棍 在HOME DEPOT买。嗯，对了，9英尺半更好一点。我们用10英尺，长了一点。 D。4个铁环和2个链接。铁环应该足够木棍穿进。在HOME DEPOT买。 做法： 1． 把那12个白色人造革小条，对折，HOT GLUE在SCREEN的上下边。下边穿上木棍 。上边穿上窗帘的ROD。SCREEN在下边穿木棍的地方有点不平整，但是不影响效果。 2． 把铁环连起来。挂在ROD上，SCREEN的两边 3． 不用的时候，把SCREEN用下边的木棍卷起，木棍两头用铁环穿上 总体重量应该不到15磅，而且看不大出来噢：)) -- ※ 来源:・BBS 未名空间站 http://mitbbs.com・[FROM: 67.183.] See less

In our latest catalog, our creative stylists DIY’d a holiday wreath using ornaments from our bins–the result is a stunning, brightly colored and festive wreath to welcome guests. Since we often get questions about details in our photography, such as requests for paint colors used, we anticipated that a lot of you would want to know how it was made. Supplies: 1. Strong stiff wire that can be bent into a ring. We used aluminum wire gauge 20, about 55” long–due to the scale of the products in the shot, our wreath was rather large, about 28″ in diameter. A wire hanger is also a simple way to go. 2. Ornaments. We used a total of 81 ornaments. For a smaller version, we’re guessing you could make a 14” wreath with about a third of the ornaments depending on how full you wanted it. 3. Strong tape to fasten the ends of the wire ring together or, pliers to twist the ends of the wire ring together. 4. Ribbon to hang the wreath. Directions: 1. Here we’re going to walk through an armshell shock mount move and restoral. First of all, in this instance I had run across some orange arm shells that were set up as ‘wide mount’. The first thing that needs to be done is remove the old mounts. I’ve heard a couple ways to go about this such as tightening the bolt all the way down to pull the mount off (which I do not suggest as it can crack the fiberglass on the other side very easily). The way I go about it is to take a sharp flat head screw drive and a rubber mallet and tap around the outside to remove all visable epoxy, then lightly tap under the mount and pry lightly up around the sides untill the mount losens and comes off easily. After all the shock mounts have been removed, you’ll need to get rid of any existing epoxy left on the chair. I do this by using a coarse sandpaper on an orbital sander to get the majority off, then switch to a medium then to fine for the finish. Once that work has been completed it’s time to mount the...
