(03/06/12) This is it! The boot. I live in Wisconsin where the air gets cold and we get a lot of snow for many months. I've been looking for a cute boot that's also cozy. This is fab! I need something to wear for daily walks with my dog in sub-zero temps and for shoveling for a few hours in 20-30 Fahrenheit temperatures. Perfect. It's so warm. I'm not a fan of wearing bulky socks, and it's good to have a "glove" fit that's not too tight. I usually am a 9-9.5 but have wide feet so I originally chose a 10 and it was an inch too big. The 9's fit perfect, and for my wide feet they are not too tight. I can wear one pair of thick socks, or just a Smart Wool sock and it's great in terms of fit either way. My calves are skinny (I'm 5'6" and 130 lbs.) and so the shaft of the boot is a bit loose but not to where it doesn't look good. I tried the North Face Jozie boot but it is just not warm enough to cut it. That boot would be good for walking on sidewalks on a night out where you're not really in the cold...See less
