Hello agentchin (hmm - CIA, FBI ...) - I have kaboodle id (obviously) but haven't used it really yet. Anyway I appreciate your energy and enthusiasm and would like to pass on my thoughts about rolling laptop bags. I am something of a computer bag junkie having owned a lot (I could probably start my own store). Whenever someone in the family needs one then Martin comes to the rescue!Right now I use either a Tumi expandable roll-on or a TravalPro backpack. I like to use the Tumi as yes you don't carry it plus you insert the laptop into a small PC bag that one can carry to and fro once you're at your location. One rule I have is I never accept paperwork. The Tumi expands by a zippable gusset which is really useful to carry other stuff. Now the limiting factor with all the roll-on bags I've seen is the frame is rigid so you cannot stuff items into it. Also because of the handle there's no external pockets (I think the new Tumi has an open "envelope" in the middle). Essentially because of the rigidity the capacity is limited especially for things like headsets. The TravelPro backpack is great as it's big. I can get all my PC gear in as well as accessories (headset, external drive ...) plus my digital camera SLR in its bag. I don't find carrying it difficult. Now both bags are difficult to store under the airline seat unless one is flying J class (business - or to Americans first). What I do these days is put it up top and take out my water and book etc. Also I occasionally carry a small bag for my stuff for on the flight.Hope this helps - keep up the obsessive good work!Martin

Hi Martin, Thank you for the recommendations! I had a look on the Tumi website and my only gripe is that the Tumi cases all look too "masculine" if you know what I mean... Not that there's anything wrong with that, and I wouldn't consider myself a girlie-girl... BUT... I think I would prefer a laptop bag that doesn't LOOK like a black laptop/business bag. I used to carry a Crumpler and the padding in that thing was almost as heavy as the laptop itself, not to mention that it was so thick you couldn't fit much else in the bag! Ah... the search continues...Thanks again for commenting :)
