(03/12/12) I received this as a gift after me and my ex split and he kept our turntable. The first one I got wouldn't turn on and the second one skips on brand new records (because there is no weight control for the tone arm). I would have exchanged it for another, but I rather keep the money and get a record player with weight control. If you value your records save your money for a better player, because if you use a quarter (etc..) to add extra weight you will ruin your albums. I must say it does get pretty loud which is good and the aesthetics are great, but the tone is poor an with the money you spend on vinyl you want to hear it live up to its amazing potential. I guess you get what you pay for so if this is gonna be your first record player and you only play your albums on occasion -I think it will be a good starter (if you get one that works) but if you've handled them for years and your picky about sound quality... you will most likely be let down.See less

(01/01/12) The 8 Legs EnduraLoop originated from an idea to incorporate several survival tools into a single compact piece of gear. Mounted on approximately 14 feet of paracord, it contains a Lighthound LED flashlight, a liquid-filled compass with rotating bezel, an Aerowave signal whistle, a 1/2 in. rust-proof, 40 lb. load capacity trigger snap hook, a FireSteel miniature ferro rod for fire starting with a glow in the dark ranger bead attached for easy finding(pic 3), and a hidden water-proof tinder bundle (pic 4). The EnduraLoop also makes for a secure key-keeper when out in the bush (pic 5). My personal guarantee is that if you ever need to unravel your EnduraLoop in an actual survival situation, just send what's left back to me and I'll re-weave it or replace it for free. Testimonials from users: "We had to use the striker to cook food one time because we had no other flame." "The light is definitely helpful. I Used it as my tent light. We put em to the test and I'll never camp without it."...See less
