The material is not too thin, its a good thickness. I got the dark grey dress. I would describe it more as Navy blue mixed with a touch of dark grey. Its a nice color. The back is a little low and makes it more alluring. The material is a bit stretchy so a size small was perfect for me, even when I'm borderline small/medium.
