Prem Uppaluru is Executive Vice President, Voice Web Solutions at Genesys, where he is responsible for strategic direction and development of the company's VoiceXML solutions. Mr. Uppaluru joined Genesys in mid-2002 when the company he co-founded, Telera, was acquired by Genesys and its parent company, Alcatel. While at Telera, Mr. Uppaluru served as Chief Executive Officer, and was the driving force behind the company's success in the emerging Voice Web market. Prior to co-founding Telera, Mr. Uppaluru co-founded VOIS Corporation where he served as Chief Executive Officer. Before launching into his entrepreneurial efforts, Mr. Uppaluru held Vice President and General Manager positions at Novell. OREM, Utah -- June 24, 1996 -- Novell today announced its vision for the future of its ManageWise PC LAN management solution. Over the next year, ManageWise will become platform-independent through support of Java technology and the Internet infrastructure. These enhanced products will enable network administrators to perform management tasks from any intranet and Internet location through World Wide Web-based management consoles. In addition, ManageWise will provide increased scalability through integrated support for Novell Directory ServicesÂ? (NDSÂ?), Novell's industry-standard global directory services. NDS support will allow users to consolidate management information for easier site-level administration and reporting. These enhancements, slated for the first half of 1997, are part of Novell's commitment to provide customers with management services that can be distributed across any platform on private and public networks.
