The cookie acts in the same way a bath salt soak would. It releases the benefits of the sea salt to soak soar muscles and bones. The light scent of chocoalte chip cookies is a fabulous accent to a warm bath. Bath cookie is intended for a long soak. It will lay sink to the bottom and release it's goodness while you relax. It dissolves very very slowly. Do not crumble or break up the cookie as this may cause floating "crumbs". They are safe to wash down the drain if the cookie doesn't totally dissolve by the time your pamper session is over. I have a whirlpool tub and I have used it while the jets were on. It hasn't affected the jets or filter in anyway. However, I'm not sure of the affects it may have on another tub. So I recommend using it without the jets if you have a whirlpool type.
