(11/09/09) Over the past 1 & 1/2 years I've been working on remodeling my kitchen. It's been a long project but well worth the wait. So after spending major bucks on cabinets, slate floor, wood trim and granite countertops, why skimp on the backsplash? We had looked at tiles at all the "big box" home improvement stores, and their selection was very slim. A coworker recommended an online tile store and their selection was incredible. After much thought, a few samples later and lots of mulling, we decided to go with glass and stainless mix. Turns out, the stainless tile was on backorder for 3-4 weeks. On a whim I looked on Amazon and found an item almost identical to this other online site. So without further ado, I emailed to find a price quote on shipping. Surprisingly, the actual shipping was half of what Amazon was going to charge me for 28 tiles, plus these were less expensive than this other online store.
