Before that I was using the Wet to Straight Remington Straightner, which was HORRIBLE on my hair . . it made my hair extremely dry & I had many split ends. I begged my mom to get me something more expensive, hoping it wont damage my hair so much. So I got the Solia straightner . This straightner works well, makes your hair soft, straight and shiny! I have very wavy hair and it makes really nice. However i found it has tolerance . . to keep it straight the entire day you`ll have to straighten it more then the week before for example. Over time it started drying my hair out ... After a year of using the Solia, my hair is dry, and has many dead & split ends. Right now i have to work on reconstructing my dead hair. If anyone buys this product i extremely recommend you to use heat protecter , and deep condition your hair as often as possible... See less
