This is a Greatest Hits well done. Including all the single cuts release to radio outlets. Usually Record Label do not place one single so you still buy the original records and the greatest hits, wich really anoys me. Although The Cranberries music career it's better heard on their original conceptual records than a Greatest Hits Package, this cd will do very well for those casual fans of the irish band. The fans will find delightful that they include a non-release cut from theit NO NEED TO ARGUE album, DAFFODIL LAMENT, wich in my opinion is one of the bands best tracks. Worth your money. Buy It. With their debut disc the Veronicas have found an interesting mix of pop and rock that doesn't seem to rely too much on one or the other. I bought this just on the strength of "4ever" and really found myself impressed with the whole thing. While some have compared them to something between Avril Lavigne and Ashlee Simpson, those comparisons really just don't work; this group isn't a bit like either artist. Actually they remind me more of a few very different artists, but even those comparisons fall short and don't do them justice. For pop, this CD delivers, mostly mixed with a lot of guitar and some terrific harmonies between both girls' voices. "4ever" is not just a fun pop song with a great harmony-laden chorus, but for some reason it sounds much much better on the disc than on the radio, even though it's the same version of the song. "When It All Falls Apart" is an awesome standout that makes good use of the two voices alternating lines in the verses and blending harmonies into the... See less

A California trio signed to a major label straight out of high school, Eve 6 plays the most potent brand of punk-pop this side of Green Day. The group's self-titled debut is an engaging mix of Jon Siebels's snarling guitars, Tony Fagenson's thundering drums, and bassist Max Collins's emphatic vocals and surprisingly erudite lyrics. These guys may have blown off their SATs to take a crack at rock stardom, but there's nothing lacking in their verbal skills on the hit singles "Inside Out" and "Leech." Hopefully, their math is good, too, so they can count the royalty checks from this short (it clocks in at under 40 minutes, rare in these days of overlong CDs), sharp rock gem. --Daniel Durchholz See less

Album Review Sondre Lerche's first album, "Faces Down", was bursting with promise. "Two Way Monologue" fulfills that promise and then some. Right from the beginning of the first song ("Love You" (a brief instrumental that hints at things to come with a sunbursting string arrangement and beautiful chords stacked together like bunches of flowers), it is clear that Lerche has lost some of the tentativeness that made his debut flawed and has blossomed into a pop craftsman of the highest regard. The songs on "Two Way Monologue" are lyrically mature and sophisticated; the sound of the album is full and arranged perfectly, Lerche effortlessly twists his vocal into falsetto swoops and intimate whispers, and almost every song is worthy of starring on a mix CD made to impress your friends. Songs like the complex "Tore You Down" and "Wet Ground" point to a new level of sophistication both in the songwriting and the performance.
