There some very light metal wear between stones on front, other than this I would consider it in very good vintage condition with no missing stones. The metal on back is in beautiful condition. I was surprised to find this brooch in such good condition for it's age. The brooch is placed on silver plated comb. For brides with vintage taste,,this is original and unique piece of Art Deco era. Most all rings you see on the market either are missing a bunch of pearls or have been replaced with glass seed beads - these pearls are nearly impossible to find today, and if you are lucky enough to find them, they are very expensive. (11/06/09) This breathtaking diamond and 14 karat white gold ring was made in the 1970s in an exquisite Art Deco style. The setting and shank are encrusted with 36 sparking diamonds of approximate 1 point each and three larger diamonds, one measuring 10 points (1/10 carat) and two measuring 3 points each for a total carat weight of approximately .5 carat. The focal point measures 3/4s by 1/2 inch. It is a size 8.5 and would be more than easy for your local jeweler to size it up or down for a perfect fit. Gorgeous!! A few notes on antique and vintage items and my experience with them: I have been raised around antiques. My uncle was an auctioneer and dealer since long before I was born and, having no children of his own, took me on to pass down his personal legacy. Platinum is perfect for rings like this that have very intricate details because it will make it last for generations! The center diamond is a European cut cushion cut diamond that weighs approximately 0.93 carats (it may be bigger, we just didn't take it out to weigh it). The diamond has VS1 clarity and H color. This is really a very nice diamond. The ring also has 8 single cut round diamonds that have a combiend weight of 0.06 carats. The ring weighs 3.5 grams and is a size __, but don't worry, it can be made larger. This ring will come with a full appraisal by a GIA certified appraiser with descriptions, pictures, signatures... everything you need to go straight to your insurance company. This ring is really a lovely example of the Art Deco period and something like this that is in this condition doesn't show up very often, so get it while you still can!See less
