Ummm, I think I can manage to put together a binder and some page protectors for less than $28.04 + $7.65 shipping. This is another example of "why didn't I think of that" where if you thought of it, any rational person would assume not many people would buy it. Apparently you need to take "rational" out of the equation!

See also, Snuggies, which I am positive I saw in the Lillian Vernon catalog growing up. If she had only put every item in that catalog in its own tv commercial, she would rule the world today.

Absinthe Chocolate

Two great tastes... My wife just got me some Cioccolato all'assenzio, made by Pastiglie Leone. It's yummy dark chocolate flavored with absinthe. I also like the droopy, blissed-out illustration on the package.

Comments (1)

"A nice bitter chocolate overlayed with an absinth-like licoricey strangeness. An interesting novelty it was, but I wouldn't make a habit of it."

Venchi Speziati Assenzio

See this at: venchi.it| Added on 07/20/07

Venchi has made 2 dark chocolate flavored bars known as cuor di cacao. Choose between Speziati Venchi Peperoncini(organic Italian chilli pepper) or Assenzio (Absinthe!).

Comments (1)

"Wow, it’s… unusual. I know I’m beating that word into the ground, but it’s the best way to describe it. The chocolate is not at all sweet, and it’s not as bitter as I expected. At first it just tastes like baking chocolate, but then there’s an herbal tone to it. As the chocolate melts, the absinth comes out, with an almost clove-like flavor, and a uniquely bitter, basic taste. The mouthfeel (not the taste) is similar to putting a copper penny in your mouth. It’s not very pleasant, and I will never, ever eat this again. It does create a lasting, warming sensation in my throat, which is kind of nice. The wrapper rocks, but absinth is not to my taste."
